Dear Friends,
I have been chosen to travel to Botswana, Africa as a volunteer and ambassador for the Habitat for Humanity's Global Village program. I'll be working side-by-side with 14 other individuals from around the world to help those who need a decent place to live, helping to build simple, affordable houses.

Half of the population of Botswana is still struggles to survive on less than $2 a day. One of the most vulnerable groups is women—one-third of all families are now female-headed households, and 60 percent of women live in extreme poverty.
The rampant spread of HIV/AIDS has added to the country’s burdens. The Botswana AIDS Impact Survey II, conducted in 2004, estimated HIV prevalence in the general population at 17.1 percent.
My goal is to raise awareness and also to raise money to support my team's work, and I'd be grateful if you would consider making an online donation of any amount.
